Your WooCommerce orders, turned into the Defra packaging data file.
Tag the packaging on each product once. Tarestack totals the kilograms of every material you placed on the market from your paid orders, and Pro writes the 15-column “Report packaging data” CSV, checked against the GOV.UK rules.

Packaging sets
Describe the packaging that goes out with one unit: layer (primary, secondary, shipment, tertiary), GOV.UK material code, Rigid or Flexible for plastic, packaging type and grams. Reuse a set across products, per variation, or across a whole category.
Totals from real orders
Choose a date range. Tarestack reads paid orders on your own server, with HPOS on or off, and shows kilograms by material, type and class. Products sold without packaging are listed so you can close the gaps.
The Defra file (Pro)
Pick the submission period and download the RPD CSV: header row, no blank rows, whole kilograms, the right codes for small or large producers. The built-in validator explains any problem in plain English before you upload.
Your data stays on your server
The free plugin sends nothing anywhere. It reads order line items only, never customer names, addresses, postcodes or emails, and stores just aggregated weights. Pro talks to us for one thing: checking its licence, sending the key and your site address. No cookies, no tracking, no third-party scripts, in the plugin or on this site.
Never held hostage
If a Pro subscription ends, the Defra export switches off, but nothing is deleted. Your packaging data, the free summary CSV, your saved records and the SKU export keep working.

Questions
Does Tarestack tell me whether I have to report?
No. It prepares data; you decide whether you are obligated and whether you are a small or large producer. GOV.UK explains the thresholds.
Which specification does the Defra file follow?
GOV.UK’s “Report packaging data: create your reporting file” (19 August 2026): the 15 columns in order, the time period, activity, type, class, material, country and RAM codes, the allowed classes per type and the per-type rules. Tarestack’s automated tests rebuild GOV.UK’s published large and small producer example files from equivalent packaging data and check that every row matches.
How do I get Pro after paying?
Your licence key and the Pro download appear on the page straight after checkout. Nothing is emailed by us. If you lose the key, recover it with the invoice number and email from Stripe’s receipt.
What counts as a site?
Each live WordPress site address that activates the key. Local and staging addresses (localhost, .local, .test) do not count. Deactivate a site from its Pro licence screen to move the key.
Do you work out nations (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland)?
The specification only uses the from/to country fields for self-managed waste (CW and OW), which you enter in Pro. Tarestack does not read shipping postcodes.
